HOAs
During Snowpacolypse 2010 all these people complained about not being able to get out because their streets weren't plowed. I have to say for once, paying for all my HOA dues has paid off. I was never trapped or disappointed by my snow removal. Yesterday, they had front loaders moving the snow from the parking spaces. Go HOAs!!
My biggest complaint? Why were there not more front loaders, bulldozers, bobcats and anything that moves dirt in the neighborhoods helping move the snow? Seriously? Are you working building something or digging holes in the snow? I know plenty of people who would have paid $50 for anything to move the snow. For a neighborhood, that's worth about $10-20k. So instead of just sitting around not making money, you could have done this and just been plain helpful to people. Ok, enough ranting.
This has been the greatest winter of my life and it's just February. I have gotten more snow than ever and gotten pretty good at driving in it and not getting freaked out. Maybe we'll get another storm or two for me to practice more. My greatest decision of 2009 buying a new ride that has a magic button. It's a "W" and it does something magical in my car that stabilizes it on wet, icy, and snowy weather. Maybe it doesn't do anything at all and just makes me think it does, but my car seems to handle a lot better when I'm driving on the snow with it on. So I press the button.
Snow on!! :-)
